A Collection of Wordstreams

Since the early 1970s, Mark Mann has been writing prose poems, vignettes, and poetry, which he calls wordstreams in part because they often start out as stream-of-consciousness writing. He usually writes his wordstreams in his journals, and then later he begins the process of revising them.
A Collection of Wordstreams consists of over 90 poems and vignettes selected from eight different books that he eventually plans to publish separately. The titles of the different sections of this collection reflect the wide range of themes he explores: Capturing the Essence of the Moment, Until I Awake in the Country, Lovestreams, The Wily Wizard, Teenage Travails and Exhilarations, Travelstreams, and Spiritstreams. He writes about the meanings of moments in the cycles of time; spiritual pursuits; exploring alternate realities beyond space and time; longing for and experiencing love, romance, and intimacy; experiencing the magic in everyday life; travel insights and experiences; life stages (including the teenage years); and the imbalances and positive potentials in modern society.
